Jing Xu is a Ph.D. student at the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, University of Delaware. She is currently working on two projects: research sponsored by the National Science Foundation of the US on urban solar energy generation potential; research sponsored by the Delaware General Assembly on risk mitigation strategies to improve investor interest in energy efficiency. Her dissertation is exploring the role of multiple actors, including government, business groups and environmental non-governmental organisations in China’s evolving environmental governance and policy over the past three decades. Prior to CEEP, Jing received a master’s degree in environmental science and policy from Peking University in China. Her past work focused on urban water resource management and sustainability.
