Research Associate
Joohee Lee is a Ph.D. student at the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy, University of Delaware. She holds an M.S. degree in Urban Planning and Engineering from Yonsei University, South Korea and a B.S. degree in Environmental Science and Engineering from Ewha Womens University, South Korea. Her research interest is focused on nuclear power policy and environmental justice issues. Before joining CEEP, she studied at Tokyo Institute of Technology in Japan and worked as an assistant research fellow for the Korea Environment Institute. Joohee is the lead author of “Expanding the Conceptual and Analytical Basis of Energy Justice: Beyond the Three-Tenet Framework,” a 2019 article (with co-author John Byrne), published in Frontiers in Energy Research 7:99. doi: 10.3389/fenrg.2019.00099, which offers a systemic approach to the analysis of energy justice using several quantitative methods.
