Alex Waegel has a B.A. in Physics from Drew University and an M.A. of Urban Affairs and Policy from CEEP. He is currently an A.B.D Ph.D candidate while working full-time conducting research on energy efficient building modeling at the T.C. Chan Center, University of Pennsylvania. Alex’s primary interests are the conversion from fossil fuel based to sustainable energy sources; mathematics models of consumer adoption and energy consumption by large populations; and the difficulties that arise when trying to communicate a sophisticated scientific idea to an audience with minimal scientific or critical thinking experience.
