Urban Transport Manager, Volvo Buses Mexico
Jorge A. Suárez holds a M.A. in Urban Affairs with a concentration in Energy and Environmental Policy (CEEP, University of Delaware, 2007) and currently pursues a Master’s in Finance (EGADE Business School, Mexico City). His area of specialization is sustainable transportation, particularly bus technologies and applications. Other of his interests include environmental economics and finance and public-private partnerships.
Since 2007, Jorge has worked as Urban Transportation manager for Volvo Buses Mexico, focusing on Bus Rapid Transit. In his role, Jorge has achieved a 70% market share in the growing Mexican BRT market and introduced the first-ever biarticulated buses, low-floor buses and hybrid electric buses in the country.
