Naz Yaqubie

Youth Program Education Director 

Naz Yaqubie is Youth Program Education Director of the Foundation for Renewable Energy and Environment (FREE).

Ms. Yaqubie is currently an Elementary School Teacher on Long Island, New York. She sits on many committees within her school district, including committees devoted to curriculum development. Prior to teaching on Long Island, she taught 7th grade in Brooklyn, New York. Ms. Yaqubie graduated from Hofstra University where she co-majored in History and Elementary Education. She received her Master’s degree from Teachers College, Columbia University in Teaching Students with Disabilities. She is currently pursuing a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Touro College. Ms. Yaqubie is also a candidate for National Board Teaching Certification.
